Life is like a box of chocolates, but its also an eternal quest to reconnect with the creator. This is usually a testing and confusing process for my simple mind. I am hoping though to solicit some comments from you on the idea of what it means to be confirmed?
My understanding of the concept is that the Good Lord gives you a nice pat on the back when you do the right thing. Usually this comes in the form of a “door opening” or some type of success or dare I even say a reward that gives you that little pat on the back you needed to know you were headed in the right direction in whatever you were doing.
Now if that is true — is the absence of a “rewarding” confirmation, a confirmation in its own right? Should one continue down a road where he or she is not seeing confirmations in hopes that, perhaps, one might suddenly appear when its least expected down the road? How long should you wait before changing course? Do you even need to wait? What even determines what a confirmation is versus just having good luck.
Determination is a virtue, while stubbornness is not. It may be that I’m being challenged to see something through without a confirmation even if it doesn’t turn out the way I had hoped. Maybe there is a greater wisdom to the whole thing. Maybe I just need to go to bed…
